So with these last two pictures, I’ve officially edited every one of my edit-worthy photos from the last four years. From this point forward, if I want to have new photos to edit, I’ll have to take new ones.
Here’s to an epic year ahead.

No idea if this actually a statue of Aquarius, but it feels so fluid and aquatic. Thoughts, anyone? Taken in Rome, Italy.

Aesthetically the film is somewhat problematic – it was shot in one day, with a looming deadline and no budget.
But fuck excuses, I’m happy with the way it turned out and I learned a TON about casting, working with actors, production design, and shooting in a confined space.
It also marks the first collaboration between myself and Minou, my new film partner. We’ve got a lot of really exciting projects coming up, so as always, stay tuned.

From a cathedral in Mazatlan, Mexico:

There’s something about this image – it’s so flexible in terms of processing. Every now and then I like to play around and come up with something new. This is my latest stab at developing it, and eventually there may be others. Stay tuned.

An oldie – from 2004, my junior year in high school. It’s a little slow and a little artsy – but it is epic, and it represents a pivotal point in my development as a filmmaker. I figured i’d post it because it’s going in the film portfolio section of this site, but I wanted a specific URL to link to it. Also, I wanted y’all to see it if you haven’t already : )
The production was long – I shot up in the hills 9 times over the course of about two months. And that was after I’d already shot the entire project twice – the first two versions were filmed with different female actors, and edited – but they weren’t quite right.
I’ve never had a vision so strong that I felt compelled to throw out weeks of work and start multiple times. But I’m glad I did. I shot this sucker five years ago, and although I’ve come a long way technically and artistically, I’m still proud of it.
