Posted by IsaacThis is an experimental short film I shot in Boston on 16mm B&W film. This project was a little different for me because it was the first experience I’ve had with shooting on film, and my first project with someone else serving as my cinematographer. In this case, the film was shot by the talented Megan Richardson.
Originally this was supposed to be a 6 or 7 minute short film about a photographer who’s been blinded, and his first day back at home from the hospital with girlfriend. Well, due to budgetary constraints involving film stock, we only shot half the script. On top of that, the lab messed up half of the footage to the point of it not being usable. What this film represents is my attempt to put something together with approximately 1/4 of the material I originally intended to have.
This is the reality of filmmaking, and life in general. I think what matters most is not what we have, but what we do with it. Maybe this little film here is better than the real short would have been. Who knows? Don’t let anything get you down, y’all!

We ended up going with a refined version of the last image with the sunglasses and santa cap, which you may find below and on our Facebook fan page.
